Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.
This book is so romantic, dark, sexy and full of mystery. The two authors did a great job with the characters and plot. I love our main character Ethan Wate who came from a small town of Gaitlin, and here comes a new girl in town, Lena. It is so nice being inside of Ethan's mind, how he feels about Lena was really strong and so cute :) How he tells the story of his hometown, its so small that every town people knows your life and secrets. How his people are all the same.. thats why when he saw Lena Duchannes, he thought she was different from everyone. But there's more than meets the eye, he found out that Lena was a Caster girl, a spell caster. Lena's family are cursed due to what happened a long long time ago that makes Lena in danger. Ethan who found himself falling in love with the Caster girl, will help her undo the curse. And he thought he knew every thing in Gaitlin, well prepare your self for a gothic/suspense/mystery-filled ride that will take you to the edge of your seat. Will Lena be able to undo the curse when they are running out of time?If your up for a paranormal story then I hope you enjoy this great book!
