Unwind by Neal Shusterman

Unwind (Unwind #1) by Neal Shusterman
Connor, Risa, and Lev are running for their lives.
The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child "unwound," whereby all of the child's organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn't technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state is not enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape and to survive. Published 2007.

I just love love love this book :).*jaw drops* couldn't believe what was happening. This book was awesomely insane. I was drawn deep in to this book that I had to bring this at work and finish it.

The Unwind kids ,  their useful body parts/organs will be chopped off from their body while they are conscious (as in eyes open and talking) and give those parts to someone who will need a surgery. You're alive but your body is slim to zero fat chance of worth looking at, eew. That's sick right?
I did feel really bad/sad for those unwind kids. Connor Risa and Lev met in a chaos and had taken a journey where their lives will begin as a runaway Unwinds. A sci-fi /suspense/thriller/ mystery/ and a bits of romance all in one book.
A heartbreaking story about human cruelty and more. I've learn so much with the story as a human being and as a part of human race. I will never forget this book. Hope you'll like it too because its sick and awesome!  ha ha. The ending was open-ended too so its good to know that theres a sequel coming yay! Recommended.

Unwholly (Unwind #2) is coming out this 2012, YAY!
