Elemental ( Elementals # 0.5) by Brigid Kemmerer

 Synopsis from Goodreads:
Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they are more than you dream.
As an air Elemental, 17-year-old Emily Morgan doesn’t have much power. That’s okay—she knows what happens to kids who do.
Like Michael Merrick. He’s an earth Elemental, one with enough power to level cities. Which makes him sexy. Dangerous. And completely off limits. At least according to Emily’s family.
But her summer job puts her in close contact with Michael, and neither of them can help the attraction they feel. When forces of nature like theirs collide, one misstep could get someone killed. Because Emily’s family doesn’t just want her to stay away from him.

They want him dead.

Definitely worth the read. I couldn't help but giggle inside. Really enjoyed this short story! If you haven't read the Storm yet which is the first book in the series, this prequel will introduce you to Michael and Emily and a great start for this series. I was gutted that I finished it shortly after reading it on my way home(on the train). I just cant wait for Storm( I have it here already luckily pfffft), I swear this brothers are so intriguing, and the storytelling was freaking awesome.I liked Emily on the spot. She's funny and cute and gutsy. Loved her. Hopefully I will continue to love her when I read Storm.

I also loved the feel of "Romeo-and-Juliet-doomed-love romance here"- feuding familes and busting the guy and stuff. So I liked the risk that they were doing. I cant wait to find out where this story is going to go. Although it was short, it has juicy details and interesting plot.

  5. Oh, Lalaine, amaazing! I just finished Storm, so I kind of... I KNOW it can't end well... but I'm SO excited to read it... we don't see as much of Michael in Storm, and he's really prickly, so it'll be fantastic to see another side of him :)

  6. Glad to know I wasn't the only one giggling inside while I was reading this! x) It was just so much more adorable than I thought it would be, and I was expecting awesomeness in the first place with how much everyone has been gushing about this series :P And I'm really hoping that Emily will be in Storm too! I know that it's Becca's story, But I ADORED HER!
