Featured: YA Authors Talks About... + Giveaways

Hi guys! Welcome back to my Featured:YA Authors post! Today we have these awesome authors Holly Cupala, Kristen Simmons, Cat Clarke, Marianne de Pierres and Cat Hellisen to share with us what else they like to do aside from writing and the scariest thing they have ever done. Also, Holly Cupala is going to giveaway signed copy of DON'T BREATHE A WORD and Kristen Simmons , two signed copies of ARTICLE 5. Awesome right? I hope you will enjoy this post, coz I sure did. I love them all, and  their books and did I say they are awesome? Feel free to say hi to these lovely ladies and check out their books and their websites. <3

Holly Cupala author of Don't Breathe A Word
  • Aside from writing, what else do you like to do?
I love to make stuff—whether that would be art or clothing or graphic design or music or pastries or some other creative outlet. When I’m not writing, I can usually be found painting or baking or sculpting or some other kind of craziness—documented at my blog on DIY Fridays
  • What's the scariest thing you've ever done?
There are lots of different kinds of fear-public speaking is scary! It was scary to cliff-jump. Scary to start writing my first novel. Maybe the scariest thing of all was becoming a parent. Some things are just plain crazy (cliff-jumping, for example!), but if you want something enough, the only thing to do is walk straight into the place you fear the most.

Watch this book trailer of Don't Breathe A Word, its awesome! <3

Marriane De Pierres author of Burn Bright, Night Creatures series

  • Aside from writing, what else do you like to do?
I’m a basketball fanatic – my entire family play or have played. We watch a lot of NBA and college ball. I also love reading (naturally!) and watching my favourite TV series. I also can’t live without eat cake. I LOVE cake.
    • What's the scariest thing you've ever done?
Choosing to have some risky surgery. Yikes, hope I never have to do that again.

Cat Clarke author of Entangled, Torn
      •  Aside from writing, what else do you like to do?
Play with my dog, eat cheese, cook Mexican food, play Scrabble, hang out on Twitter, sing badly, walk around looking for inspiration, read books, watch DVD boxsets, make playlists on Spotify, snuggle with my cats.
      • What was the scariest thing you've ever done?
Aside from letting people read my writing? Diving with sharks. Incidentally, this was LESS scary than letting people read my writing. I'd really like to cage-dive with Great Whites one day.

Cat Hellisen author of When The Sea Is Rising Red
      • Aside from writing, what else do you like to do?
Loads of things. That's not a very specific answer, is it? I do a great many things very badly, but since I enjoy them, it's all good. I'm a Very Bad Birdwatcher but luckily I live on a river estuary so I don't really need to be any good at it because the birds are all LOOK AT ME I'M RIGHT HERE EATING ALL THE FISH. I love to hoop and I like
playing guitar and ukulele. Well, I say playing but I'm kinda like a Sim that just bought its first pink guitar. No one ever gives me tips. *sadface*
      • What was the scariest thing you've ever done?
I don't think I've done anything scary, really. I'm pretty dull, no
hang-gliding or bungee-jumping here. I do tend to give all my stuff
away and move across country fairly regularly. The last time I did
that was two years ago and driving 1 400 kilometres in a car with two
adults, two small humans, a cross pitbull and four cats was pretty
scary. So I think I'll not do that again for a while.

Kristen Simmons author of Article 5
      • Aside from writing, what else do you like to do?
JAZZERCISE! No, really! I do! I've been a Jazzercise instructor for 8 years and I love it. It's so fun, and exercise is a great way to relieve writer's block!

      • What was the scariest thing you've ever done?
Stand on the glass floor in the CN Tower in Toronto. I've never had a problem with heights before, but something about looking down, and seeing the ground 112 stories below you...yikes. It was absolutely terrifying - I couldn't even move!

      3. YAY! I loved reading some of these books but their all amazing. I even did a review of Article 5 on my blog: read-a-holicz.blogspot.com
I agree with Cat Clarke, letting people read my writting is a lot scarrier than swimming with sharks (if I did do that).
