A beautiful mystery .Legend is amazing, super engaging. It is the kind of book that is filled with twists and turns, that left me breathless with anticipation. I just loved this book! The premise is really interesting. A girl from an elite family meets the boy from the slums, the boy murdered her brother, now girl is hunting him...
Legend is unlike any dystopian books I've read. Although the story may feel familiar-the survival of the fittest and the smartest- plot is very unique that really made this book stand out from the rest. A well-paced and action-packed book. There will be characters you will love to hate or you will simply love. Characters are made of pureawesomesauce. Our girl June is a kickass, she was stronger than I realized and that was really good. Day, is our guy. Strange name yes? I love him soooo much. He intrigues me from the very start, why wouldnt I? He is the most wanted criminal. I loved the idea of running away with him.. hmmm. Also, I loved where he got this name..
“Each day means a new twenty-four hours. Each day means everything’s possible again. You live in the moment, you die in the moment, you take it all one day at a time.” He looks toward the railway car’s open door, where streaks of dark water blanket the world. “You try to walk in the light.”
The chemistry between Day and June is just so good. The kissing-scene made me swoon! I just hoped that their romance gets fleshed out more in the second book Prodigy. I just can't wait to read the sequel, I am dying to see more of them together and to see what's going to happen next.
If you are a fan of Article 5, I bet you will love this one too!
“Oh, sure. You killed my mother. You can imagine I’m dying to help you out.”
“I would rather die than see them hurt you.
